If I were to tell you the story of my life you probably wouldn’t believe it. I’ve noticed that people tend to admire people that they feel have them self together. A lot of people are so down on themselves that they would rather watch other people who seem to be up on themselves. This may be the reason why so many people are glued to the television. They crave that false sense of a reality that the television portrays to them; never realizing that the people on the TV go through every day trials and tribulations just as much as the next man or woman as soon as the cameras are off.

The short poem that I wrote called Time Spent Wisely is about learning who you are as a person. Putting yourself in the driver’s seat. No more sitting around watching other people live and enjoy their lives when you have a life to live. The people who you are watching on television took the time out to accomplish their goals and to get to where they are at; why sit around and watch them when you have your own goals to accomplish.

We as a people need to stop having so much despair and disbelief in ourselves¬†and our god-given abilities. Everything is possible with just a little faith in yourself. I started this post off telling you that you wouldn’t believe my life story if I told it to you because just like everyone else I went through and still go though trials and tribulations everyday, but I do not let those things keep me from fulfilling my destiny. My destiny with divinity! ¬†And neither should any one else.

Peace and love to you and yours!

  1. I agree. We shouldn’t compare our lives to anyone elses! If you are supposed to have it right then, you would. If you were supposed to go right there now, you would be there. If you were supposed to be with that person, they wouldn’t have left. Most times we compare our life to people and that’s NOT even the path God has for us. Get in your lane and stop rearing into other lanes crashing cars! Your STUCK in some ditch, out of position wondering why it’s not your TIME when ultimately it’s not your time yet. Due season always comes so rest your troubled heart. -unknown.
Thanks for writing this it spoke to my heart and figured I would share the above from something I recently read.

Yes I believe due season comes, but only when you are putting in the work and preparing yourself for the next level. In today’s microwave society people expect everything to be instant. And that’s not the way it works most of the time.

  2. Sometimes we must jump out on faith.. I couldn’t agree more! Thanks for the inspirational article. Note to self, love myself so much that I invest in myself…
