Here are a few tips on how to make your new year’s resolution last.
Write your goals down! Writing your goals down is the first step to accomplishing them. Writing takes that thought and turns it into an action. Also get a dry erase board and write your goals down on it. Place the dry erase board on your refrigerator. The reason for placing it on the refrigerator is because you more than likely eat every day. Therefore you have no choice but to look at your goals and be reminded of them daily. Make sure that you read your goals every morning when you wake up to help guide the direction of your day.
Take a picture of your goals and make it your phone’s screensaver. Also make that picture your computer’s screensaver as well. Now you will be forced to see your goals every time that you use your phone and computer. By seeing your goals and perpetually reading them; they start to become ingrained in your thought process. The more you think about something the more you start to work in the direction to make that thought a reality. Every single invention we see and use today, started as a thought. Let’s use a chair for example. The person who invented the chair, thought about it enough that he or she started taking the necessary steps to make the intangible thought into a tangible chair.
Your thoughts become your reality. Therefore you should guard your mind from anything that would try to deter you from your goals and focus on yourself (Time Spent Wisely). This is not a selfish act. You cannot help others until you have helped yourself. We can only change ourselves for the better and hope that our light shines on someone else, who will then in turn change their life by following the example we set; hence the ripple effect.
I pray that your will be strong and that you are successful in all of your endeavors this upcoming year. Happy New Year to you and yours!
As always thanks for reading.
