How do you feed the people so that they would one day know how to feed themselves and others?
It is hard to make good decisions on an empty stomach. The majority of us have all fallen for the let me grab something quick from a fast food restaurant (if you can even really call them restaurants) trap and regretted our decision afterward. Those of us that regret that poor decision regretted it because we KNOW better. We know that we aren’t suppose to let that foul food enter our temple but we did it anyway.
What about the people who don’t know any better? Is it even possible to get them to want to know better? Would you even care to know better if every day is an empty stomach day or would you eat whatever you could get your hands on? Those questions all circle back to the original question of feeding the people.
This post stemmed from a comment that another blogger Elissa left on last week’s post about not enabling people. We can do everything in our power to try to help people but if we haven’t given them the keys to be able to help themselves, what have we really done other than enable them? You may have made a quick minor surface change but you didn’t get to the root of the problem.
One way to help people that she mentioned was to get the people involved in the things that are happening in their communities.
There are many more ways to feed the people that I have not mentioned due to needing some rest but if you have any suggestions, please leave them in comment section below.
As always thanks for reading.
