I’m > You

To be honest

I want to be healthier

Than you

In being healthier

Than you

I’m going to shine brighter

Than you

I want to look better

Than you

I want to feel better

Than you

I want to grind better

Than you

To be honest

I JUST WANT TO BE BETTER

And I’m doing what it takes to get there!

I know some people may take offense to someone saying these things, but that is not my intent; iron sharpens iron. With the kings that are in my court, we always push each other to be greater. For instance, if I see a king and he looks like he’s been hitting the gym on a daily basis and I know I’ve been slacking. I immediately think to myself, “It’s time to go hard! And join the ranks of kings!” If the relationships with the people around you aren’t driving you to be better mentally, spiritually and physically then are they worth being in? Our goals should always be to inspire those that are around us to be greater. Let’s go back to the days when we held each other accountable for our actions and the community took responsibility for the care of each of us.

  1. That’s why I love your 6 AM “while y’all are sleeping, I am up grinding” line. So I woke up at 4:45 this morning hit the gym for two hours and now I have had shaky legs all day. Continue to push others to be great king.

That’s what I do it for. To motivate my brothers and others. I knew that text would spark something in someone. I’m going to have to do it again until it sparks something in someone else. Go Hard or Die Easy!!! Much love, King Wolf!

King Remy, its definitely a wonderful feeling to know you have quality friends beside you. Those that will always push you to be better. And will also ride with you when you are down. That is a blessing. Keep your court strong!

My brother, King Jones the Moor, you know I can’t and will not turn down a challenge. Just from you saying you’re > me, motivated me to go even harder. Go Hard or Die Easy!!! Let’s move!

  5. Nice. I don’t think there is need for apologies on this. Even though we strive to surround ourselves with like minded people it can be frustrating. The only people I see who could take offense to this post is someone who can’t see the friendly competition to better ourselves, or isn’t strong enough yet to indulge on individual and collective journeys to better being (self improvement) is the key. While we are self improving we must also reach back and out to empower and help the next person succeed.

Mr. Hanner, thanks for stopping by and dropping some knowledge. I think you are absolutely right, I shouldn’t have had to apologize but the world we live in today has become so (for the lack of a better word) soft. For you, this was easily understood that this was meant to be a friendly competition and for many others it may be the same way. I am striving (reaching back) to affect those who do not understand; while working to put them on the path of self improvement and greatness. Thanks again King Hanner. Much love!

  6. My brothe has done it agian because he want to be better than you. this is healthy who ever doesent like it must feel like they cant get better. push your self to be the best leader and when you find someone better then you push harder.

My brother, King Harper, thanks for commenting. Your words speak on exactly what I was trying to convey in this poem. Go Hard or Die Easy! You know we live by it! Peace King!

  7. True. Real talk. We are only as strong as the people we hang around.

Queen Tequillia, how are you? You are absolutely right! Birds of a feather flock together! Even though we do strive to better ourselves and friends daily; If one person in your team continues to be the bad apple, is it healthy to keep that person around?
